WiiWare Online Today

WiiWare games are now available for download using Wii Points from the Wii Shop Channel starting today May 12, 2008. WiiWare titles are video games that developers can sell online for new and original content. The WiiWare games are original Wii Titles that will only be available by downloading them from the Wii Shop Channel. New games for WiiWare will be listed every Monday on the Wii Shop Channel. Users are able to go to the Wii Shop Channel and search for WiiWare titles by "Popular Titles", "Newest Additions", "Search by Publisher", "Search by Genre" and "Search by Game Title".
The first games available from WiiWare include:
Defend your Castle - 500 Wii Points. In Defend your Castle players will be doing just that, defending their castle against an army of invaders. Build up your castle and make repairs before you are attacked again. Game can be played by up to 4 players.

Nintendo To Increase Wii Production But Will Not Be Cutting The Price

It's the end of April 2008 and many are still Wii-less and looking to buy a Wii. Perhaps you have seen that many retail stores still don't have Wii's in stock or are trying to sell them as a bundle with several games that you might not be interested in getting. The bottom line is that Nintendo Wiis are still selling out and hard to find. To top it off it seems that the demands for the Wii are mainly a U.S. problem. The U.S. gets 40% of Nintendo's Wii production every month of the 1.8 million that are made. The only good news in all of this is that Nintendo will be increasing their Wii production this summer to 2.4 million Wiis a month to help meet demands.
Nintendo also announced this Friday that the Wii game console will not be reduced in price. After all, with the large amount of demand still out for the game and the lack of supply why would they. The Wii continues to sell like hot cakes at it's current price of $250 USD.

Les Paul Wireless Guitar Hero 3 Guitar Wii

Getting Ready to Rock to Guitar Hero 3, well the Wii Les Paul Wireless Guitar is the official wireless guitar for Guitar Hero III. The Les Paul Wireless Guitar includes the strap and stickers and weighs only 4 pounds. The fret button design and longer strum bar for an enhanced shredding experience. It's the exact same guitar as the one packaged with the Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock Bundle but it's wireless. It requires 2AA batteries.

Mario Super Sluggers Announced

Today Nintendo announced it's latest addition to the Mario Series games that will be out for the Wii, Mario Super Sluggers. Mario Super Slugger is a baseball sport theme game which hope to be out later this year. Mario, Peach, Luigi and friends get to play nine innings of baseball and so does your Mii. Up to 4 players can play baseball with Mario Super Sluggers. Included are several mini-games and you get to select from nine different stadiums.. Mario Super Sluggers will allow you to use the Wii remote controller as the bat, just swing to hit the ball. To pitch simply use pitching motion using your Wii remote controller to strike out the batter.

Nintendo Wii Wheel

The Nintendo Wii Wheel is bundled with the game Mario Kart Wii. However if you wish you can also buy it separately or just get an additional one. The Wii Wheel is a Wireless Racing Wheel that only weighs .63 Lb. Nintendo's Wii Wheel is a comfortable way to play driving and racing games on the Wii and provides additional accuracy and control. All you need to do is snap in the Wiimote, and you’ll have access to all the buttons. Nintendo's Wii Wheel can be used with any driving or racing game.

April 2008 Games

There are a few great games coming out this April, the first being Nintendo's Mario Kart which comes with a Wii Wheel. If this Mario Kart is anything like the previous games the game will be awesome on the Wii.

Being the first double-layer disc game out many Wii's have trouble reading the disc, the cause of the problem seems to be dirty Wii lenses. A problem that was first reported with the Japanese release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Nintendo Says These Games Are Hot For March 2008

Nintendo has made a list of the hot games out for the Wii and are letting the players know. Listed here are some of the most talked about games out for the Wii, so make sure you don't miss out. Of course it's no surprise that most of the games on this list are from Nintendo themselves, but there is really no better games then the Mario series and that is why 4 of the games are listed here. Not far behind is the Zelda series especially The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess being one of the first games out for the Wii.

Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Pay and Play

At GDC 08, Nintendo announced that they will now be offering a Wi-Fi Connection Pay & Play service. Meaning that not all Wi-Fi services will be free on the Wii, users will be able to purchase content or services for their games using Wii Points. The new games that require users to pay will feature a different blue WiFi logo on the cover which however look similar but offers a red/orange logo stating "Pay & Play" on the cover. Players will purchase the services upon starting the Wi-Fi feature directly within the game. It is currently not known how much the cost for the Wi-Fi services will be or what games will be offering it. Therefore, it remains to be seen what Nintendo is really offering with the Wi-Fi Connection Pay & Play.
