WiiConnect24 - How to Turn WiiConnect24 On / Off

WiiConnect24 permits your Wii console to receive system updates, messages, and other data automatically. The WiiConnect24 automatically receives data 24 hours a day, even when the system is not being used. There must be an Internet connection for the WiiConnect24 to work. When WiiConnect24 receives data, a blinking blue light will come from the Wii’s Disc Slot. For more information, click How To Change the Wii’s Console Illumination blue blink light. There is the option to turn your WiiConnect24 On/Off. By turning off the WiiConnect24, you will not receive any Wii Message Board messages or updates to your system.

Note: The Wii console will communicae with the Internet even when the power is turned off.
How To Turn WiiConnect24 On or Off
  1. Select the Wii Options icon from the bottom left of the screen on the Wii Menu.
  2. Click on Wii Settings option
  3. Click on the right arrow
  4. Select WiiConnect24 button
  5. On the WiiConnect titled screen, click on the WiiConnect24 option
  6. Select ON or OFF
  7. Select Confirm.
