
The full version of the Wii's Internet Channel is now available for free download before June 30, 2007. Wii users will be able to surf, shop and search all through their Wii's Internet Channel. The new version offers users better navigation and new features. Wii users will now have the option of a manual zoom, better page scrolling and all around better functionality. In addition, Wii users will no longer have to select a search engine each time they want to search. The Internet Channel comes with a built-in option allowing users the choice of pre-selecting their search engine - Google or Yahoo - programming their search button for automatic use. The users have the option of re-programming the button at any time or entering the search engine's URL. More features include having quick access to other sites such has Nintendo and My Opera.
Wii users will have until June 30, 2007 to get the free download of the full Internet Channel. After June 30, 2007, it will cost users 500 Wii Points ($5 US) to download. Once it has been downloaded the Internet Channel is free for the Wii's lifetime.
