Interested in playing other players online? With a Nintendo Wii you can choose to play with a friend or play against an anonymous player. If you wish you play with a friends, you have to share friend codes. If you are playing against an anonymous player you do not need to worry your privacy is protected. It cost nothing to play via Wi-Fi, but you need to have a Wii console, a wireless connection (Internet access), and a Wii Wi-Fi game (look for the games with the blue Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection logo). It's easy to use...so here's how you play Wii Wi-Fi games:
Have the right equipment
A Wii, a wireless Internet connection, and a Wii game that supports online play. Wii games that support Wi-Fi play have the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection logo on the cover. For a list of games that offer Wi-Fi click here.
Get Online
To get online, all you need to do is choose the game's Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection feature. Nothing more...
Start Playing
To play your friends, you need to exchange Wii friend codes. To play anonymously, just select the option to play and get matched up. It's that easy.
Here's a screenshot of a Wi-Fi game page which allows you to select between "Battle with Someone" or "Battle with a Friend".
