Manhunt 2 July 10th Release Has Been Delayed

For all you who have been waiting for Manhunt 2... you will have to wait a bit longer. Manhunt 2 was about to be released for the Nintendo Wii, Sony's PS2 and the PSP systems on July 10th. However, upon receiving an ESRB rating of AO "Adult Only," Nintendo (and Sony) will not be premitting the game to be sold for their game consoles. In addition, Manhunt 2 was banned in Britain by the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) for being too violent.

The game developer Rockstar Games will now have to decision which course of action to take: appeal the decisions or go back to the drawing board and make edits to the game. The original Manhunt had an ESRB rating of M - Mature 17 and older and a BBFC rating of 18 and over.

Nintendo has a policy which does not allow games with ratings of AO to be released for their game consoles.
