Nintendo World Museum in New York
In addition to having Wii game consoles and Nintendo shirts and other merchandise on the second floor, the Nintendo World store located in Rockefeller Center, New York City currently displays what should be called a Nintendo Museum. It outlines the company’s history by exhibiting several of their game consoles from past to present.
Below are some of the game systems on display in the Nintendo World store. There were several more game systems on display but only a few are listed below which are interesting to note.

Nintendo Advanced Video System (AVS)
Nintendo’s first attempt at a full game console was a system under the name of “Nintendo Advanced Video System,” which featured a keyboard, cassette data recorder, wireless joystick controller, and a special BASIC cartridge. However, the system never sold and therefore it became a prototype for Nintendo to begin developing their next game console system.

Nintendo Family Computer (Famicom)
Nintendo sold the Nintendo Entertainment System in Asia as the Famicom (Family Computer) in 1985. The only differences between the two game systems were that the cases of the game consoles were different and they would not play the same game cartridge.

In 1985, Nintendo released the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in the United States, in New York City. The NES came with a Robotic Operating Buddy and the Zapper light gun. At the time it sold for $125 USD and there would be over 500 game titles created for the NES. Some games for the NES are now available for the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console.
