The Nintendo DS is the older model so of course it will be cheaper then the Nintendo DSi. The Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi play exactly the same games. However, the Nintendo DSi will have more games now geared toward it in the long run then the Nintendo DS. The Nintendo DSi will provide the player with more entertainment then the plain old Nintendo DS just by having the 2 cameras and playing music files.
