Wii gets on board with Norwegian Cruises

Don't Rock the Boat, Baby! The Wii gaming experience will now be one of the on-board activities for Norwegian Cruise Lines. The cruise line has announced it will be supplying it's ships with Nintendo Wii consoles. The cruise passengers will be able to play such games as Wii Sports, Wii Play, WarioWare: Smooth Moves and Excite Truck. The Wii game consoles will be located in areas like the ships' atriums and other public rooms where the passengers can gather to play on large screens.

It's easy to see how the Wii has become so popular. Norwegian Cruise Lines has taken notice of the Wii's popularity, with it's motion sensitive controller (Wiimote) allowing anyone can play. The Wiimote will get the attention of non-traditional gamers such has grandparents into playing these games since they are mainly based on simple movements. In addition, kids will have Wii playing areas that will be "kids-only". The cruise line also plans on hosting game parties and gaming tournaments. With all this activity let's just hope the seas are calm.
