Wii will no longer support MP3 format - Users Beware

Nintendo has decided to drop the Photo Channel's support for playing MP3 formats. Therefore, Wii owners that are used to playing MP3's through the Photo Channel will no longer be able to. The change will be coming in the next Wii update, most likely due out next month. Nintendo has decided to add AAC compatibility for Wii instead, the format used on iTunes. It's unknown why they are choosing not to support both. So before downloading the next Wii update be sure you are ok with not being able to play MP3's on your Wii since it will not be possible to undo the changes.
Update: If you update to Photo Channel 1.1 you will be able to return to Photo Channel 1.0 which does support MP3 format.
